Student Health Services
The University of Pittsburgh Student Health Service is committed to providing confidential, quality care in a safe and friendly environment, for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning, intersex, asexual (LGBTQIA+) students. The University of Pittsburgh Student Health Service provides primary care, as well as reproductive and sexual health care, tailored to fit an individual student’s specific needs. UPMC Health System
UPMC has LGBTQIA+ knowledgeable providers as well as integrated clinical services* to meet the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community with specific services to provide care to transgender and gender diverse people. Please note: Due to recent federal directives, including executive orders, UPMC is unable to provide gender-affirming medical care (such as medications and surgeries) to individuals under the age of 19.

Allies for Health and Well-Being
To improve health and well-being, Allies provides integrated medical care, supportive human services, and community-based education for individuals living with, or at risk of HIV, viral hepatitis, and sexually transmitted infections. Learn more about Allies for Health and Well-Being.
Central Outreach Wellness Center
Central Outreach and Wellness offers PrEP and free STD testing in Pittsburgh, Aliquippa, Erie, and Washington, Pennsylvania. Central Outreach Wellness Center is a holistic, multicultural, LGBTQIA, HIV & Hep C health organization. They are a leader in providing culturally competent medical care in Allegheny County. Metro Community Health Center
Metro Community Health Center is a community-based organization that provides comprehensive primary care and preventive care, including primary medical care, oral health care, and mental health care services to persons of all ages and identities, regardless of their ability to pay or health insurance status. Persad Center
Persad Center is dedicated to improving the well-being of the LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning) communities and the HIV/AIDS communities in Western Pennsylvania. Through a variety of outreach, prevention, counseling, advocacy, and training services, we work to resolve problems faced by the LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS communities.
Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood of Western PA provides the following services:
- Testosterone hormone therapy (sometimes known as "masculinizing" hormone therapy)
- Estrogen/antiandrogen hormone therapy (sometimes known as "feminizing" hormone therapy)
Please note that all hormone therapy patients must be 18 or older in order to start or continue care. They are also happy to provide referrals for other desired services that fall outside their realm of care. Learn more about the services from Planned Parenthood.
